The Hailsham Heritage Award recognises work of architecture or landscape design that best protects and promotes the heritage of the town. The Award also takes into consideration buildings which have been modified as a heritage resource to contemporary functional standards, while retaining its heritage character.
The town of Hailsham is dedicated to preserving its heritage and historic properties and hopes that the efforts of the Hailsham in Bloom team in organising this competition will encourage private owners to become involved with the restoration of old buildings throughout the town in the future.
Recent Hailsham Heritage Award winners include the Hailsham Pavilion in George Street (2008), Downford House in George Street (2009), Hailsham Grange in Vicarage Lane (2010) and Cortlandt in George Street (2011).
